Feng is deputy dean of the Criminal Law Research Institute of Zhonglun Wende. He had worked in the criminal investigation, economic investigation, legal system and pre-trial of the public security organs for more than a decade. He is familiar with the related process and has rich experience in this field. Since working as a lawyer in 2011, he has been focusing on the defense of economic crimes and duty crimes. Some of the influential criminal cases that he represented or participated include:

 

1. The largest pyramid sale case in Beijing since the founding of the People's Republic of China. In this case, Feng assisted the first defendant's defense lawyer in a lot of fundamental work. The defendant had the crimes of contract fraud and illegal business when the public security organ transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution. At the stage of review and prosecution, after thorough communication with the procuratorate, the procuratorate finally adopted the opinion that the crime of contract fraud was not established and only sued the defandant for illegal business operation .

 

2. Wang was suspected of contract fraud involving a total amount of 48.5 million yuan. During the period of review and prosecution, he submitted favorable evidence. The procuratorial organ decided not to sue Wang, which was the fifth case of non-prosecution in 2014 of a branch of the Beijing Procuratorate.

 

3. Diao, from a building materials company, was suspected of misappropriation in the case with an amount of more than 10 million yuan. No prosecution.

 

4. Zhang was suspected of illegally detaining in the case. After finding favorable evidence, the prosecution did not approve the arrest.

 

5. A university student was suspected of rape, and after submitting an application for review of the detention necessity to the procuratorial organ, the arrest was changed to a bail pending trial. It was the first case of a district procuratorate in Beijing in 2015 which changed from arrest to bail pending trial after the review of the detention necessity proposed by a lawyer.

Zhang was suspected of illegal intrusion into computer information systems. Zhang was ruled with probation after trial in 


6. A very complex case in which a company defrauded the bill acceptance, involving a total amount of 490 million yuan. The guarantor of the case was a state-owned enterprise. It was reported as criminal case in order to get rid of the civil liability for guarantee, and filled with challenges such as malicious taking advantage of jurisdiction and the problem of local intervention.
