Achievements | Zhonglun W&D Partner Dazhong Wei Appointed as Member of the Enterprise and Entrepreneur Rights Protection Working Committee of CEC
The Enterprise and Entrepreneur Rights Protection Working Committee of the China Enterprise Confederation (CEC) (Hereinafter referred to as the “Rights Protection Committee”) held its leadership transition meeting in Beijing on November 16, 2023. The meeting reviewed and adopted the work report of the 5th Rights Protection Working Committee, the organizational structure and membership list of the 6th Rights Protection Working Committee, and the working rules of the CEC Rights Protection Working Committee. Lawyer Dazhong Wei, a partner of Zhonglun W&D Law Firm, was appointed as a member of the CEC Enterprise and Entrepreneur Rights Protection Working Committee for a five-year term.
The CEC Rights Protection Working Committee is a secondary professional committee under the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association. Its mission is to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and entrepreneurs, foster broad engagement with stakeholders from various sectors of society, and deliver services and support dedicated to the protection of these rights. The 6th Rights Protection Working Committee comprises 125 members, including representatives from central state-owned enterprises, local state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, provincial/municipal/autonomous regional enterprise confederations, social organizations, the legal profession, and the media.

Dazhong Wei is a Partner at Zhonglun W&D Law Firm. He holds a Master of Laws from Renmin University of China and is a Senior Economist. He is also among the first batch of experts included in the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) Talent Pool for Foreign-Related Legal Professionals in Central State-owned Enterprises. Admitted to practice in 1987, his previous roles include serving as a member of the Professional Committee of Environment, Resources and Energy Law of the All China Lawyers Association, Director of the Professional Committee of Constitutional Law of the Beijing Lawyers Association, General Manager of China National Gold Group Co., Ltd.’s Legal Department, General Counsel of Zhongjin Gold Corporation Limited, Deputy General Manager of Zhongrong Xinda (Qingdao) Mineral Resources Co., Ltd., and Legal Counsel for the Beijing Olympic Engineering Construction Command in 2008. He has handled notable cases such as the Zhigang Sun death case in Guangzhou and a bribery case involving a CCTV journalist. He specializes in legal advisory services, criminal and civil litigation, environmental protection, mineral resources, compliance, and risk management. He has been recognized as one of the “Top Ten Judicial Officers” in the Political and Judicial System of Lvliang Region, receiving the “Beijing Lawyers Industry Professional Contribution Award for Olympic Work”, being recognized as one of the “Top Ten Innovators” by China National Gold Group, and receiving the SASAC “Outstanding Top 100 General Counsel in Central State-owned Enterprises” award.
