On July 28, 2025, the Xinjiang-Hong Kong Investment Promotion Roundtable, titled “From Tianshan to the World: Leveraging Hong Kong’s Business Advantages for Xinjiang Enterprises Going Global”, was held in Urumqi. The event was co-organized by the Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in Beijing, Invest Hong Kong (HK), and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Federation of Industry and Commerce. The roundtable brought together dozens of prominent Xinjiang enterprises to discuss leveraging Hong Kong as a springboard for global market expansion and fostering regional collaborative opportunities. Her presentation focused on “Domestic Government Approvals for Outbound Investments and Identification & Mitigation of Key Overseas Legal Risks”. Lawyer Zhao systematically outlined the critical legal issues and countermeasures enterprises should prioritize when going global.
