On July 2, 2025, Xinyi Wang, General Counsel of the Singapore office of the internationally renowned law firm Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW), was invited to Zhonglun W&D Law Firm in Beijing to deliver a special lecture on ”Singapore’s Arbitration System and International Dispute Resolution Trends”. The seminar was chaired by the firm’s partner Ping Zhao, with several other partners in attendance, including Jian Wu, Zhengwang Yao, Huishan Pei, Xiaoqin Liu, Yunfei Xu, Jihong Qin, Dong Wang, Panyu Pu, and Jianjun Zhao.

During the session, Lawyer Wang provided a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in Singaporean international arbitration, analyzing key trends in Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) case statistics, procedural features, and the practical application of Streamlined Procedures and Expedited Procedures. Drawing on practical cases, Lawyer Wang also explored critical issues such as seat selection, arbitrator appointment, procedural justice principles, and award enforcement.
