Dr. Zhao is an arbitrator of the Beijing Arbitration Commission, an external expert of the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Foreign-related Legal Services Committee of the Beijing Lawyers Association, a member of the Competition and Antitrust Committee of the Beijing Lawyers Association, and one of the first appointed experts at the Foreign-related Legal Consulting Service Center of Renmin University of China. She also serves as a professional mentor for the Master of Law Program at Renmin University of China Law School. She is currently the director of the Compliance and Risk Control Legal Professional Committee and leading partner in foreign-related legal services and competition law matters at the Firm, and is experienced in leading lawyers with diversified expertise to provide high quality legal services to multinational corporate groups, large state-owned enterprises, domestic corporate groups, unicorn companies and high-net-worth individuals. She is particularly good at advising multinational companies in complex matters or transactions.

Dr. Zhao specializes in corporate matters including competition, regulatory compliance and arbitration and has nearly 20 years’ professional experience. She has been highly recognized in China Business Law Journal’s A-List as one of China’s Top 100 Lawyers, ranked among the Top 15 Competition Lawyers by LEGAL BAND, and selected into the Beijing Lawyers Association’s Foreign-related Lawyer Talent Pool.

  • Provided antitrust legal services to foreign-invested pharmaceutical companies and domestic pharmaceutical industry enterprises.
  • Represented a state-owned enterprise in merger control filings for an equity transfer transaction through a public bidding.
  • Represented a real estate fund in merger control filings for the establishment of a new joint venture.
  • Represented a state-owned enterprise in M&A, and merger control filings for its acquisition of controlling interest in a listed company.
  • Designed the overall antitrust litigation strategy for a listed company in its disputes against a multinational corporation.
