Basic Overview

Established in 1992, Zhonglun W&D Law Firm is among the first partnership law firms approved by the Ministry of Justice of China. It is also among the earliest domestic law firms in China to engage in international legal business. On August 8, 2025, the firm established the Professional Committee of International Investment and Trade to address the legal needs of enterprises operating in a globalized environment. Focused on regulatory compliance, strategy design, risk mitigation, and transaction execution, the committee delivers professional legal services that enable clients to conduct international business safely, lawfully, and efficiently. By leveraging internal cross-disciplinary collaboration, it offers end‑to‑end legal support—from policy analysis and deal structuring to documentation, implementation, and dispute resolution.

The committee oversees three specialized research centers: the Research Center on Foreign Direct Investment, the Research Center on Overseas Investment and Belt and Road Initiative, and the Research Center on Export Controls and International Trade Compliance.
