Basic Overview
Maritime law is one of our firm’s core practice areas, where we have built long-standing, in-depth expertise and earned a distinguished reputation that positions us at the industry’s forefront. To further enhance our strengths in this field, the firm has established the Professional Committee of Maritime Law, which focuses on legal services for maritime affairs, commercial shipping and international logistics. The committee brings together a seasoned team of lawyers who are well-versed in the legal practices of maritime and international trade law, boasting extensive hands-on experience across diverse areas covering the carriage of goods by sea, charter parties, ship transactions and financing, marine casualties, marine insurance and maritime dispute resolution. Moreover, many of our committee members have been recognized by leading rating agencies such as Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500, ALB (Asian Legal Business), China Business Law Journal and Lexpress.
Composed primarily of professionals holding master’s degrees or higher from prestigious maritime institutions at home and abroad, members of the Professional Committee of Maritime Law boast rich and diverse backgrounds: many have furthered their studies overseas, while some bring hands-on experience as seafarers, or within the shipping and insurance industries. This multidisciplinary expertise equips them to offer tailored services that seamlessly integrate legal acumen with practical industry insights.
